Just Another Sunday Funday

Admin · August 17, 2020 · Leave a Comment

Remember that old Bangles tune? I have to go to Anchorage tomorrow which will likely make for a manic Monday. So what kind of a Sunday was it? Well Colleen found a $50 bill down on the Spit. Must have been some big spenders last night. I think the most I ever found was a quarter so kudos to Colleen! She’s got the magic.

We have been thoroughly enjoying great weather down here with modest tourism. The big push was in July. The Spit is still humming but not as bad as July. We were talking with a farmer who has a large operation. He was complaining that the he is throwing away (to his animals) and donating (to a couple food kitchens) a good portion of his vegetable crops due to low demand. It is a good thing we didn’t try to go into production this year. Covid changes appear to be far longer lasting than many thought would be the case. We will see how next year shapes up and of course keep you posted.

Coast Guard Bull of the North heads out to sea.
The chicks are finally starting to free range and have moved in under our work shed.
More peonies from one of the street side stands.

Be well & green dreams!
