We don’t have much time for YouTube (or anything else for that matter) but we do like a few homesteading channels that we catch over breakfast.
Our favorite is Simple Living Alaska. This couple exemplify the Alaskan “can-do” culture. If you live in a cold weather climate, this channel is a wealth of information.

Next in line is Justin Rhodes who runs his farm/homestead in North Carolina. It’s a full fledged family affair where everyone contributes and have a good time in the process. Check out his excellent documentary called The Great American Farm Tour. He converted a school bus, packed up his family, and traveled America searching for the best farms. Don’t miss his unique ChickShaw.

The plans are free and will enable you to tote 20 or 30 birds anywhere in your fields. We are working on one now.

Last but not least is Lumnah Acres. This family of three works a modern homestead in New Hampshire. They have great how to videos like erecting a Rimol 30′ x 48′ high tunnel which Al and his wife tackled on their own. They raise pigs, goats, and chickens. Al left a career where he suffered frequent anxiety attacks to start a new life. They bought an old dilapidated farm to start from scratch. You will be amazed at what they have achieved so far.

Be well & green dreams!
