If you are like us, you love where you live. We never tire of the views or the friendly locals. The tourism ensures good food at restaurants and an active local farm presence that we hope to be a part of next year.

A big part of Homer’s attraction is how it straddles the wild, In the past two weeks, we saw a lynx walking along our road to town. A large black bear ambled out of our side field and made his way out our driveway. We saw a porcupine by our mailbox . Sandhill cranes fly over our property and can be seen on occasion in downtown Homer. Moose and eagles are a dime a dozen. Small colorful birds inhabit the evergreen forests. It truly is a natural paradise.
